Drone photography and video in Austin.
Aerial stills, cinematic drone film and true 360-degree capture across Austin and the Hill Country, flown by FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot Landon Hoemke.
Austin's best views come with water and hills: Lady Bird Lake below the downtown skyline, the green bluffs along Lake Austin, the cedar-covered ridges of West Lake Hills and the wide coves of Lake Travis. Stoop 360 flies across the city and out into the Hill Country, planning each shot around light, terrain and airspace.
Austin from above
Hill Country and lakefront homes. In Westlake, Rollingwood, Lakeway and along Lake Austin, a home's appeal is often its view, its slope and its water access. Aerial images show the property in that terrain, and a low reveal over the water can say more than a page of listing copy.
Central neighborhoods. Tarrytown, Travis Heights, Barton Hills and Mueller each have their own character, from old streets under big trees to Mueller's newer grid around its lake park, built on the site of Austin's former airport. Aerials show how close a home sits to the hike-and-bike trail, Zilker Park or South Congress.
Weddings beyond the city. Many Austin couples marry west of town, toward Dripping Springs, where venues sit among live oaks and limestone. Our wedding drone videography guide covers how to plan aerial moments around the day.
Brands, venues and events. From East Austin creative spaces to launches downtown, an aerial sequence gives a brand film its establishing shot. For larger gatherings, see our event drone videography guide.

Austin's airspace and local rules
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is surrounded by Class C airspace that covers much of southeast Austin. Addresses inside it need FAA authorization, which we usually request through LAANC for the exact altitude and time window. When a request falls outside what LAANC can approve, we apply through the FAA's DroneZone, which takes longer. Much of West Austin and the lake country lies outside controlled airspace at drone altitudes, but we confirm every address on the FAA's maps instead of assuming.
Austin also has a busy event calendar. Big festivals, Longhorns home games on the UT campus and Formula 1 weekends at Circuit of the Americas can bring temporary flight restrictions, and we check for them before every flight. Texas law adds its own limits on low flights over certain sports venues and critical infrastructure, so some locations are off the table no matter what the FAA allows. If your shot is one of them, we'll tell you up front.

Meet the pilotAustin drone FAQ
Do drones need FAA approval to fly in Austin?
It depends on the address. Austin-Bergstrom's Class C airspace covers much of southeast Austin, and a commercial pilot needs FAA authorization there, usually requested through LAANC. Much of West Austin and the lake country sits outside controlled airspace at drone altitudes, though Part 107's other rules still apply everywhere.
Can you fly over Lady Bird Lake or downtown Austin?
Some downtown shots are possible with careful planning. We choose a permitted launch site, stay clear of people who aren't part of the shoot and check for temporary flight restrictions. Certain sites, such as large sports venues and critical infrastructure covered by Texas law, are off-limits for low flights.
Do you film Hill Country weddings outside Austin?
Yes. Stoop 360 flies across the Austin area, including West Lake Hills, Lakeway and Dripping Springs. We confirm the venue allows drones and plan the aerial moments with your planner and photographer.
What about SXSW, ACL Fest or Formula 1 weekends?
Big events can bring temporary flight restrictions, and they always bring crowds. If your shoot falls on one of those dates, we check restrictions early and may suggest a different day or location.
Are you insured?
Every flight insured. Each shoot is covered by liability insurance, with a certificate of insurance available on request.
